TABRIZ AYMAN PROJECT / INITIAL COMPETIOTION

The city of Tabriz has fragmented due to expansion of its eastern and western part. The eastern part of the city has noticeably change in both appearance and economic affluence, were the eastern part has been abandoned. This city has great protentional as proximity to both airport and train station, agricultural lands with private land owners, affordable land prices, and residents of working and agricultural class that provide applicable infrastructure for development and a bright future for the proletariat. The land reform program in Iran aimed at dividing agricultural lands and handing over more cultivated lands to more farmers. This project leads to a decrease in quality and producing products. The main reason of this failure was underestimating the required capacities, such as water, production and stockpile infrastructures and the plurality of farmers versus the facilities owned by the main owners. Regarding oil revenue and the desire for industrialization, low profit agriculture and water scarcity, sales and utilization of agricultural lands as residential densities and migration to cities has increased. The proposed land of the project, is one of the mentioned agricultural lands that has been proposed to change its use and to sell. Adjacent neighborhoods are old and the occupation of the most residents is agriculture that is accompanied with their work-habitation lifestyle. Most members of each family work on their family agricultural land to afford family financial needs and economic shortfalls have brought some changes in their livelihoods. The strategy of work, life, recreation and education all together was to make the neighborhood self-sufficient and to decrease the impact of migration to big cities. In our proposed plan, higher levels are allocated to housing, lower levels, which are close to passages, to occupations, work and production and lowest levels to administrations and banks. To sustain the possibility of growth of work spaces, parking lots are in minus levels next to certain businesses and related spaces. Abiding and stable economy and production conditions can be achieved by creating workspaces, systematic and modern agriculture infrastructures, updated products for farmers and relying on conjointly life-work lifestyle. In addition to the new farming conditions and facilities, there are also opportunities for other businesses such as carpet weaving, leather goods, sweets and chocolates which are deep-rooted professions of Tabriz and can be revived. Such proposals are always welcomed by people because: 1-brings wealth for people 2-it’s a good pattern for development of the old neighborhood 3-provides new opportunities for different potentials. The division of agricultural land that are located up the site becomes the template of our created working parts pattern. Buying, selling and supplying products in Iran are done digitally and virtually. This is because digitizing and removing physical interfaces (middle man) in Iran is beneficial and helps to keep the value close to producers. The possibility of people’s participation and their maximum profitability was the main matter in creating residential levels, and this leads to an increase in people’s sense of belonging, empowerment, and a change in poverty paradigms by using their own workforce. The pattern of distributing proposed slabs comes from the dimensions of housing textures of down the site. Each segment is around 500 meters, divided into 4 neighboring units (ranging from 50 to 100 meters) each with a small open space. We create communication open spaces in order to avoid cultural issues and contradictions with apartment life style, and each 500-meters residential slab is divided into four 100-meters pieces. Each resident will decide the proportion of their land will be built and remaining will become a private yard. To maintain community vibe and communication and patterning the residential section of lower part of the site, proposed accessions are some underpasses that leads people to level -1 and the street between two parts (site of the project and the decayed part) is a pedestrian crossover. With widening the pedestrian access and locating educational and recreational applications, we create a new plaza widening the horizon for both old and new sections. All entrances of this complex will give you the sense of enjoyment and pleasure.
