In order to respect the scale of the city, the building volume was divided into three blocks by the responsible architect, the openings of which take up the dimensions of the neighboring buildings. In addition, the volumes of the building were staggered in terms of height so that they only appear partially. The architects reinterpreted the local building tradition and detailing at the Father’s Inn. They also used the typical Khansar pattern of “space and path” inside the building, thus linking the house with the city. “Inner life” was another pattern that the architects took up and led to a reinforcement of the courtyard instead of the street. In the local dialect, “Khaneh”, which means “house” in Persian, means “space” - perhaps because all activities in a house take place in rooms. The “rooms” of the houses in Khansar usually open onto the inner courtyard, to which they are connected by a semi-open space and usually by doors. All of these properties were taken up and implemented in the new building.
Father’s Inn was awarded the Memar Prize in 2012 and was published in Memar magazine No. 70
