Presence in Hormuz is a series of projects on the Iranian island of Hormuz, aiming to activate specific points and expand architecture beyond the built environment. Majara Residence, or Presence in Hormuz 2, is a gateless neighborhood with 200 earth domes, accommodating both tourists and public usages. The low-tech building method increases human labor, empowering 40 unskilled workers. The project is inspired by the porous green fabric of Hormuz Island's natural landscape and uses a polychromic color pallet to enhance the architectural connection.
