This text which is written by Mohamadreza Ghodousi, Golnaz Bahrami, Fereshteh Assadzadeh Sheikhjani starts with a short history of modernist architecture in Iran, then depict the architectural scene after the 1979 Revolution, and finally arrive at contemporary Iranian architecture. Here we believe there are two main streams, not contradictory but playing different roles, that shape the architectural landscape of our time: one relies on global metanarratives, the other on personal small narratives. We will elaborate on examples of both streams
